New Lothrop, Michigan

I am Jessica Marcet, a middle and high school mathematics teacher at New Lothrop Jr/Sr High School in New Lothrop, Michigan. In addition to teaching mathematics for fifteen years, I enjoy coaching New Lothrop High School's Quiz Bowl team, advising the New Lothrop Chapter of the National Honor Society, and continually searching for unique ways to engage students with mathematics. I was recently selected as a Dow Innovation Teacher Fellow and look forward to weaving mathematics and sustainability together in an effort to make the world a better place. In my free time, I enjoy being with my husband and son, travelling to various drag racing tracks, and being outdoors. I am honored to receive this grant and look forward to helping my students experience and think critically about mathematics.
