NATIONAL SOCIETY OF HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS (NSHSS) TO PRESENT AT ASSOCIATION OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION ADMINIISTRATOR 2015 ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN WASHINGTON, DC

 

WASHINGTON, DC- January 26, 2015 – The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) is pleased to announce that after a record number of proposals and a rigorous selection process, the international honors organization has been invited to present on “Student Perspectives on Global Learning and Future Careers” at the AIEA Annual Conference, February 15-18, 2015 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, DC.  Attended by nearly 1000 attendees from over 35 different countries around the world, this is the only conference by and for senior international leaders.  

Presenters include:  Dr. Susan Thurman, NSHSS Scholarship Director; Beth Pann, NSHSS Vice President; LaShandra Little, NSHSS Director of University Relations; and Chris Payne, King’s College London Head of USA Office.  Mr. Payne will moderate a discussion among NSHSS scholars about their unique perspectives on the importance and impact of their own international study experiences, academic pursuits, and future career interests. NSHSS panelists include: Admir Adem – West Hall High School, Norcross, GA; Allen (Lane) Easterling, Baltimore Polytechnic Institute 403, Baltimore, MD; Resham Dhaduk, NSHSS Scholar, Lebanon Valley College, PA; and Katalina Gerasopoulou- Pappa, Lehigh University, PA.

The premiere venue for the exchange of ideas among university leaders on the future of global learning in higher education, this year's AIEA Conference focuses on the theme of “Leading Global Learning: Envisioning New Paradigms” and promises to be a provocative, relevant, and rewarding annual conference. President-Elect and Conference Chair Jenifer Cushman notes that “With its high caliber session proposals and thought-provoking speakers, the 2015 AIEA conference promises to stimulate attendees to explore new directions for international education in the twenty-first century.”
