NSHSS Member Event at the University of Texas at Austin

On Saturday, February 1, NSHSS members and their families were invited to Austin, Texas, for a Member Event at The University of Texas at Austin!

This one-day event included a networking breakfast, helpful information about UT Austin from the Texas Office of Admissions and current UT students, a College & Career Fair, and educational sessions covering college admissions, test prep, summer programs, and more! Members learned about UT, spoke to university representatives, and discovered why this SEC university is one of the highest-ranking public Universities in the country!

The event ended with the NSHSS Member Recognition Ceremony, where each member was honored for their academic achievements!

Attendees gathered information from College & Career Fair exhibitors. NSHSS provided a catered continental breakfast for all event participants to enjoy while they spoke to exhibitors and other members!

The National Student Leadership Conference welcomed attendees to campus and shared information about their exciting summer programs!

Can a college student protect our nation? When they’re a part of the CIA, yes! CIA has undergraduate-level student internships, co-operative education programs, and scholarship opportunities available year-round. This information session will answer your burning questions about CIA and shed light on how you can experience a future career unlike any other. Are you ready to accept the mission?

Horton Test Prep presented the changes with the new digital exams, when to start the test prep journey, and how high scores can help earn full tuition and other merit-based scholarships! Because it’s not just about getting into your dream school; it’s about being able to pay for it.

UT Austin Office of Undergraduate Admissions guided members through an informative presentation about the university!

Attendees had the opportunity to gather information from College & Career Fair exhibitors, explore the UT Austin campus further, and visit nearby eateries for lunch on their own.

A panel of NSHSS Scholarship winners answered live Q&A about how to find and apply for scholarships and stand out in your applications!
