Providence, New Haven, and New York City
The day began with a visit to Brown University, one of the nation's most respected Ivy League institutions. As they toured Brown's historic campus, participants learned about the university's renowned Open Curriculum, vibrant student life, and distinctive approach to academic exploration. After touring Brown, the group visited the bookstore and enjoyed a boxed lunch from Geoff's, a campus staple for superlative sandwiches for over 70 years.
In the afternoon, the group traveled to Yale University for an in-depth look at another world-class Ivy League campus. Students walked through Yale's iconic courtyards and historic buildings while learning about its residential college system, academic programs, and rich traditions.
Following the tour, students had time to explore the Binecke Rare Book Library and bookstore before gathering for one of the day's favorite experiences: a group dinner at the iconic Yorkside Pizza. Over slices of New Haven-style pizza and Yale's famous milkshakes, travelers compared their impressions of the universities visited so far and continued building friendships that would last well beyond the week.
That evening, excitement reached a new level as the tour arrived in New York City. Students stepped into the electric atmosphere of Times Square, surrounded by towering digital billboards, and enjoyed exploring, taking photos, experiencing the city's excitement after dark, and soaking up a moment many described as one of the most memorable highlights of the entire tour before settling into their hotel in the heart of Times Square.
